God’s Statement on The Lord’s Prayer:

Pray this with confidence.
Why would I teach you this prayer if it is not My intent to grant it.

In the previous Chapter, God corrected the line:

Forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us to,

TO

Forgive us our sins and forgive those who sin against us.

Question: I have a hard time with the part: “Do not bring us to the test/lead us to temptation” because I know God does not test us. He said for me to look at it this way:

God’s answer:

  • “Do not bring us to the test” means to steer us away from evil/temptation when we are the ones headed for wrong.

  • “Deliver us from evil” is to deter evil/temptation from getting close to us, when it is the one headed towards us.

Question: What should the words be?

God’s answer:

Lead us away from temptation and deliver us from evil.

Question: Please confirm.

God’s answer:

I keep you safe from harm
Sheep herding
You do not stray. That’s My job
Corralled
I keep a head count.

Meaning: Keeping ahead count means Jesus makes sure no sheep of His is stolen.

Question: So, is this the way I should pray it:

Our Father who art in Heaven,
Hallowed be thy name,
Thy kingdom come,
Thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven
Give us this day our Daily Shewbread,
And, forgive us our sins and forgive those who sin against us,
Lead us away from temptation and deliver us from evil.

Question: You want this changed from daily bread to daily shewbread?

God’s answer:

Extraordinary bread

Meaning: “Showbread (Hebrew: םחל םינפה lechem haPānīm, literally: "Bread of the Presence"), in the King James Version: shewbread, in a biblical or Jewish context, refers to the cakes or loaves of bread which were always present on a specially dedicated two crowned table, in the Temple in Jerusalem
